① by the end of 表示“到……末為止”,用于完成時或?qū)頃r;

② at the end of 既可以表示時間,也可以表示空間: 表示時間時,常指過去或?qū)淼臅r間點, 用于一般過去時或一般將來時;表示空間時of 后接名詞,表示在“在……的盡頭”;

③ in the end 意指“最后”,相當(dāng)于finally 或 at last.
